Johnson Matthey used to be one of the biggest names in all of precious metals. In 2015, they sold their gold and silver operations to Asahi Refining. Since then, Asahi has become a reputable name in the industry. Now with locations in Utah, Florida, Japan, and Canada, they have a global impact on the market. Learn more about Asahi Refining and their bullion products, right here at BGASC.

    American Reserve Collection

One collection that Asahi Refining is known for is its American Reserve Collection. This collection of silver rounds, bars, and gold bars, are made from silver and gold mined directly in the United States.

Silver products are made from .999 silver whereas gold bullion products are crafted from .9999 pure gold. These bars and rounds showcase the American Reserve logo as well as identifying marks of the product on the obverse. The reverse of these products features an eagle perched on a branch.

    Other Bullion Products

At BGASC, you’ll find plenty of other rounds and bars, made from both silver and gold, made by Asahi Refining. Their standard rounds and bars feature the Asahi logo and identifying marks of the product on the obverse. The reverse shows a repeating pattern of the Asahi logo.

Asahi Refining also creates cast bars in large sizes such as 100 oz. These bars have minimal design elements, including a blank reverse field.

Asahi also creates lunar-themed rounds, such as their Asahi Dragon Silver Round. This features the dragon and the traditional Chinese character for the animal on the obverse.
