Producers of Gram-Kilo Gold Bars
- Argor Heraeus: Founded in 1951, this once-private company joined the Heraeus Group in 1986. The mint creates standard gold minted ingots, as well as more unique options such as their series of Kinebars.
- PAMP Suisse: This Switzerland-based refinery was founded in 1977 and creates some of the most popular and recognizable gold bars in the industry. PAMP Suisse redefined the gold bar industry by being one of the first to include complex designs normally seen on coins, on a bar.
- Perth Mint: Established in 1899 as the final branch of the UK’s Royal Mint in Australia. Now, the Perth Mint is under the ownership of the state government of Western Australia. Though they’re most known for their array of popular coin programs, they also create high-quality gold cast bars and minted ingots.
- Valcambi: Valcambi was founded in Switzerland and creates some of the more unique gold bars on the market. The once-private mint has been purchased several times over the years. Valcambi creates cast bars, minted ingots, and even divisible bars.
Popular Designs
- Rosa Bar: These bars are available in several unique sizes and are created by PAMP Suisse. These bars arrive in blisterpacks and showcase a budding rose on the obverse.
- Fortuna: Also created by PAMP Suisse, 2024 marks the 45th anniversary of this stunning design. The Roman goddess of fortune is shown in left-profile relief, blindfolded, with her hands extending toward the viewer to show a collection of coins.
- CombiBar: Struck by Valcambi, these unique bars are able to be easily broken off into smaller bars. For example, the 20 Gram Valcambi Gold CombiBar is a 20 gram bar that is made up of twenty 1 gram pieces.
- Kinebar: Created by Argor Heraeus, this minted ingot has the identifying marks of the bar on the obverse. The reverse shows a unique hologram embossing creating a stunning design.
