The Washington Quarter is one of the longest-running coin designs in the United States. First introduced in 1932, this coin has remained in production for decades and is second only to the Lincoln Penny in its duration. From 1932 through 1964, these quarters were minted with 90% silver, making them an affordable option for those looking to invest in silver in larger quantities. BGASC now offers $500 Face Value bags of 90% Silver Washington Quarters for purchase online.

Each coin in this $500 Face Value bag is made from 90% silver and 10% copper. The full bag contains 2,000 individual quarters, giving you a combined face value of $500 (USD). All of these coins date from the years 1932 to 1964, the time period during which silver was used in regular US coinage. Your bag will include coins from different years within that range.
Obverse
The obverse side of the Washington Quarter features a left-facing portrait of George Washington, the first President of the United States. This design was created by John Flanagan and has been a central part of the quarters appearance since its introduction. Youll find inscriptions such as Liberty, the national motto, and the coins date.
Reverse
On the reverse side of these quarters is a heraldic eagle design, also by Flanagan. This image shows an American bald eagle with its wings spread wide, facing left. The eagle holds a bundle of arrows in its talons, with an olive branch placed below. Some of the coins may include mint marks from the Denver, San Francisco, or West Point Mints, though Philadelphia-minted coins will not have a mark.
History
The Washington Quarter replaced the Standing Liberty design after Congress ended that program in 1930. The new design was introduced in 1932 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of George Washingtons birth. It has remained a staple of US coinage ever since.
