Designs

Various American denominations used 90% silver throughout the history of the US Mint. However, the most common in circulation were the dime, quarter, and half dollar. Some of the most famous designs, such as the Mercury Dime, Standing Liberty Quarter, and Walking Liberty Half Dollar are still around, but the modern designs of the Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Kennedy Half Dollar are more common. However, the latter three only have 90% silver up until the 1964 date.

History
