These Goldbacks, sourced directly from the mint, are crafted by layering thin sheets of gold between polyester, ensuring their brand-new condition. Each note comes with the added protection of a plastic currency sleeve, providing an extra layer of security.

The obverse side of the New Hampshire Goldback Gold Note showcases the captivating Veritas, a female personification inspired by the Roman goddess of truth. Set against the picturesque backdrop of New Hampshire’s rolling hills and a charming covered bridge, Veritas embodies the spirit of this iconic state.

Reverse

On the reverse side of the 5 Goldback Gold Note, you’ll find a blank canvas featuring the mirror image of Veritas, devoid of colorization or additional enhancements.

History

Goldbacks were introduced in 2019 by Utah. Since then, a new state has been added each year. This includes Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Each state offers 5 denominations ranging from 1 to 50. Notably, Goldbacks are voluntary currency, which means you can spend them in that specified state, but only at the discretion of the vendor.
