All 2025 1 oz Canadian Platinum Maple Leaf Coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are secured in plastic flips, while multiples of 10 are packaged in protective tubes. The Platinum Maple Leaf was issued annually until 1999, with a brief return in 2002, before becoming a regular feature again in 2009.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 2025 Platinum Maple Leaf, you’ll find a new portrait of King Charles III. This design, created by Steve Rosati, presents the King in a left-profile relief, without a crown. This portrait was first introduced on Canadian Maple Leafs in 2024.

Reverse

The reverse of the 2025 1 oz Platinum Maple Leaf Coin displays the well-known sugar maple leaf design. Created by Walter Ott in 1979 for the Gold Maple Leaf, this symbol has since appeared across the Maple Leaf Series, representing the essence of Canada.

History

The Platinum Maple Leaf made its debut in 1988, expanding the Maple Leaf Series beyond gold. Initially, it was available in various fractional sizes, but since 2009, it has been offered only as a 1 oz coin. This platinum coin, like others in the series, is recognized worldwide for its quality and purity.
