Obverse
On the obverse side of the 2025 1 oz Silver Eagle Coin, you will find the depiction of Lady Liberty. This design, known as Walking Liberty, was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and was used on the US Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 American Silver Eagle Coin features an image of an American bald eagle. Designed by Emily Damstra in 2020, this artwork portrays the eagle soaring with an oak branch in its talons.
History
The American flag has seen many changes since its first introduction in 1777, reflecting the growth and development of the nation. The original design had 13 stripes and stars, symbolizing the original colonies. As new states entered the Union, the flag evolved. From the 15-star, 15-stripe flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner” in 1814, to the modern versions, each update marks a significant milestone in American history.
