The obverse of the 2025 Australian Silver Kookaburra Coin displays King Charles III in a left-profile portrait. Designed by Dan Thorne, this is the first effigy of King Charles III to appear on Australian coinage and shows him without a crown.

Reverse

On the reverse, the coin showcases a new depiction of a kookaburra perched on a branch in left-profile relief. The reverse also features a privy mark honoring the original 1990 design from the debut year of the series.

History
