These 2025 1 Gram Chinese Gold Panda Coins come packaged in plastic pouches and are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1 Gram Gold Panda was previously issued as the 1/20 oz Gold Panda and is the last weight that was introduced in the series, making its debut in 1983.

Obverse

The obverse of the 2025 1 Gram Gold Panda Coins showcases the traditional design found on all Chinese Panda coins. This design features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, an essential building in the Temple of Heaven Complex, which has appeared in every version of the Chinese Panda since its inception in 1982.

Reverse

The reverse design for the 2025 Chinese Gold Panda Coins introduces new artwork for this year. It depicts an adult panda sitting in the foreground, engaging with bamboo. A playful cub interacts with the adult, while another cub is seen climbing on the rocks behind them.

History

While pandas are generally solitary creatures, they exhibit some social behaviors during mating season. Male pandas will compete for access to females, making loud calls, marking their territory with scents, and sometimes engaging in physical contests. Successful males may mate with multiple females during this brief time. Females will care for their cubs for 1 to 2 years, providing protection and nurturing.
