The Peace Silver Dollar was a notable silver coin produced by the United States from 1921 to 1935. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, this coin was issued to commemorate the peace achieved after World War I. The Peace Dollar was first minted in 1921, which also marked the end of the Morgan Dollar series. In 2021, the U.S. Mint celebrated the centennial of these final silver dollar designs by reintroducing them as modern bullion coins. Reverse
On the reverse side, the 2024-S Proof Peace Dollar displays an American bald eagle perched on a rock, clutching an olive branch. Designed by de Francisci, this imagery reflects the nations aspiration for peace following World War I. The eagle’s wings are folded at its sides, with rays of sunlight spreading from the horizon.

The Peace Dollar was introduced as a replacement for the Morgan Dollar, which was last minted in 1921. The Peace Dollar symbolizes the nation’s return to peacetime and ideals of unity. Although minted in smaller quantities than its predecessor, it remains a sought-after coin among collectors.
