History

Jane Seymour, the daughter of a nobleman, became Henry’s third wife in 1536. She is best known for giving birth to Henry’s only male heir, Edward, in 1537. Edward would later become King Edward VI. However, Jane Seymour died just days after giving birth, likely due to complications from childbirth.
