In 1989, the Austrian Mint introduced a coin collection that would quickly become a global best-seller. The Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coin debuted with a 1 oz gold coin available alongside a 1/4 oz gold coin and has since grown to include three additional gold weights, a silver coin, and a platinum coin. Today, BGASC offers 2023 1 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coins for purchase online.

Highlights:

  • Arrives inside flips, tubes of 10 coins, or mint-sealed boxes of 100 coins!
  • 35th available coin in the Austrian Gold Philharmonic Series!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold in BU Condition.
  • The face value of 100 Euros is backed by Austria.
  • Obverse features the Great Pipe Organ.
  • Reverse depicts musical instruments.

These 2023 1 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coins are available to you from BGASC in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins in this series ship individually in flips, by multiples of 10 coins in tubes, or by multiples of 100 coins in boxes. The box holds 10 individual tubes of 10 coins each.

Obverse

In the obverse design, the 2023 Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coin comes with an image of the Great Pipe Organ. This design features the beauty of the Musikverein with the pipe organ included. The Musikverein is the concert hall where the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performs.

Reverse

For the reverse field, 2023 1 oz Gold Philharmonics include a cluster of musical instruments. The design on this side includes a large cello in the center that is flanked on each side by two violins. The background field includes a bassoon, a harp, and a horn.

History

Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coins have increased in variety three times in the programs history. The 1989 debut introduced investors to 1 oz and 1/4 oz gold weights. The 1991 date introduced a 1/10 oz gold coin, the 1994 date a 1/2 oz gold coin, and the 2014 date a 1/25 oz gold coin. The latter was intended as a one-year issue to mark the 25th anniversary of the series, but continued annually given its popularity.
