Reverse
A kangaroo is depicted in the reverse design of the 2023 1 oz Gold Kangaroo Coin. This years artwork comes from Ing Ing Jong, one of Perth Mints most respected designers. It shows the kangaroo seated and looking back over its shoulder toward a eucalyptus tree. This side includes a micro-engraved security letter.
History
The Queens portrait makes its final appearance in 2023. While the new King Charles III portrait is in the works, Perth Mint has issued Her Majestys sixth-generation portrait from Jody Clark for a final time with the 1952-2022 date range honoring her reign on the obverse.
