This right-profile effigy was created in 2015 by Jody Clark and captures the Queen at the age of 89 with the George IV State Diadem.

Reverse

Britannia is depicted in the reverse design of 2023 1/2 oz Gold Britannia Coins. This design shows the image of Britannia in front-facing relief with her head looking to her right. The image includes a trident in her right hand and a Union Jack shield in her left.

History

The 2021 release of British Gold Britannias comes with four security elements, all of which are on the reverse of the coins. There are motion-texture lines in the background, tincture lines on the Union Jack, micro-text around Britannia, and a latent security device.
