These 2021 1 oz Proof American Silver Eagles from BGASC come with near-perfect certification. PF69 coins exhibit full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws, limited to minuscule contact marks or hairlines outside the primary focal points.

Included are two additional designations. The UCAM designation showcases strong, frosted designs overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear fields. The First Day of Issue designation is for coins received by the NGC within 24 hours of the initial US Mint release.

Obverse

The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s 1916 design of Walking Liberty, symbolizing liberty walking toward the sun with branches of oak and laurel. On the reverse, the new design by Emily Damstra showcases an American bald eagle with a large oak branch in its talons.

Reverse

Emily Damstra, a highly talented artist, is the creative mind behind the new reverse design. She has collaborated with the Royal Canadian Mint and the United States Mint on various coin design programs.

History

The American Silver Eagle has maintained the same combination of obverse and reverse designs throughout its history. On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Silver Eagle, the US Mint has introduced its first-ever design change with a new, modern image of the mighty American bald eagle for the reverse.
