Perfect PCGS MS70 First Strike Graded 2016 American Silver Eagle with 30th Anniversary Label

MS70 is the highest numeric grade a modern uncirculated coin can receive by PCGS, one of the world’s most recognized and respected coin grading services. The PCGS First Strike program designates coins issued in the first 30 days of the Mint’s release. This designation not only adds value to modern coins, but takes modern coin collecting to another level with multiple Mint releases each year. 1986 was the first year of issue for the American Silver Eagle coin by the U.S. Mint, and to commemorate 3 decades of production, the PCGS label reads “30th Anniversary”.

The US Silver Eagle is highly collected as well as purchased in volume for its high silver metal content. The coin captures the grace and elegance of Sculptor-Engraver Adolph A. Weinman’s celebrated Walking Liberty design. The obverse design features Liberty striding toward the sunrise, draped in the Stars and Stripes and carrying branches of laurel and oak in her arms to symbolize both civil and military glory. The reverse design, by United States Mint Sculptor/Engraver John Mercanti, features a striking heraldic eagle with shield, and olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left. The silver eagle is .999 fine silver and contains a $1 denomination. The photo shown is a representation of the item you will receive, not the exact item. Please note that bullion Non-Proof Silver Eagles do not have a mint mark, so bullion Silver Eagles minted in West Point and San Francisco are indistinguishable. However, since these 2016 Bullion Silver Eagles were submitted to PCGS in a mint-sealed box with mint straps containing the name of the mint where they were produced, the label on the coin slab will reflect the mint indicated on the boxes they were submitted in.
