The reverse of the 2013 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin features the flawless national emblem of the United States of America created by John Mercanti. It features an eagle holding a national shield with the American flag stripes within it. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
