In 1993, demand for Proof American Gold Eagles remained relatively steady overall. Notably, the 1/2 oz Proof Gold Eagle experienced a modest increase in demand, rising from 40,976 in 1992 to 43,819 coins. Conversely, both the 1 oz gold and 1/10 oz gold coins witnessed a decline in sales. The 1/10 oz gold coin fell from 64,874 in 1992 to 58,649 in 1993, while sales of the Proof 1 oz gold coins dropped from 44,826 to 34,369.
