Each 1 oz Swiss of America Silver Round is housed in a protective plastic flip. These rounds were originally minted by Draper Mint in the 1970s. The Draper Mint produced a series of designs inspired by the beauty of the Swiss Alps, with different versions highlighting various aspects of the mountain landscape and featuring unique obverse designs. These silver rounds, produced more than five decades ago, are a great way to add historical silver to your collection. While most were minted in 1973 or 1974, none of the rounds carry a date stamp.

On the obverse of the Swiss of America Silver Round, youll find the inscriptions SWISS OF AMERICA, 999 FINE SILVER, and ONE OUNCE, encircled by a beaded border. The reverse design showcases the stunning Swiss Alps, with the series name SWISS OF AMERICA also engraved in the field.

History

Draper Mint was established in Draper, Utah, in 1960 by Loyd Hewitt, a geophysicist and World War II veteran. Hewitt founded Draper Mint after working as a mineral surveyor across North America, and the Swiss of America Silver Rounds stand as a symbol of his mint’s historic output.
