James Earle Frasers design for the Indian Head Penny Nickel is featured on the obverse face of the 1 oz Indian head copper Round. It borrows his image of a Native American chief in a right-facing portrait with his hair braided and a ceremonial hat over his head. There are text inscriptions featured around the primary visual design.

Reverse

The reverse face of the 1 oz Indian Head Copper Round features the image of the US national seal. The design depicts a bird’s wings on both sides of an American crest with the American flag waving overhead.
