The obverse design remains consistent throughout the series.

Obverse

The obverse side of the Colorized Scottsdale Colorado State Flag Silver Bars includes the Scottsdale Lion, a crowned lion in a front-facing pose that represents the mint. This side also includes engravings of the mint name, along with details on the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar.

Reverse

On the reverse side of the 1 oz Colorized Colorado State Flag Silver Bars, youll see a detailed depiction of the state flag. The flag has three horizontal stripes of equal widththe top and bottom stripes are blue, and the middle stripe is white. A large red “C” with a golden disk at its center is placed on the white stripe. The design is both striking and full of symbolism.

History

The red of the “C” represents the reddish earth found in much of the state, particularly in areas like the Garden of the Gods near Colorado Springs. Finally, the gold disk within the “C” pays homage to Colorado’s history of gold mining and its nickname as the “Golden State” during the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush of the 1850s.
