Obverse
The obverse of the Colorized Scottsdale Arkansas State Flag Silver Bar displays the famous Scottsdale Lion, a crowned lion that represents the Scottsdale Mints logo. Positioned on the right side, the lion is accompanied by the mints name on the left. At the top of the bar, youll find inscriptions indicating its weight, metal content, and purity.
Reverse
On the reverse side, the 1 oz Colorized Arkansas State Flag Silver Bar showcases a vivid, colorized version of the Arkansas state flag. The flag has a red field with a large white diamond at its center. This diamond is framed by a blue border with 25 white stars. The word “ARKANSAS” appears within the diamond, with one blue star above it and three stars below.
History
The single blue star at the top of the diamond has multiple meanings. Originally, it represented Arkansas’s membership in the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. However, in 1923, a second meaning was added: the blue star above “ARKANSAS” was said to represent the state’s former status as part of the French Louisiana Territory.
