All of the 1 oz American Gold Eagle coins will be delivered in protective, plastic slabs from either the Professional Coin Grading Services or the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. The coin has been certified with a grade of MS70 by either of the two grading organizations which means they have no detracting flaw whatsoever. Please note that some of these coins may have the NGC’s alternative NGCX grading scale from 1-10, with 10 representing a perfect coin similar to the MS70 grade. Obverse

Augustus Saint Gaudens Lady Liberty design graces the obverse face of the 1 oz American Gold Eagle coin. She is depicted in a flowing gown walking towards the viewer with two symbolic American objects in both of her hands. This is one of the most famous images to ever be featured on American currency.

Reverse

For the reverse face of the 1 oz American Gold Eagle coin, you will find Miley Busieks popular American bald eagle family image. It features nesting eagles watching the father of the house fly overhead, protecting them against enemies both near and far. Coins issued as of the 2021 Type 2 release have Jennie Norris’ effigy of a bald eagle.
