  • Engelhard Silver Bars at BGASC

Charles Engelhard founded Engelhard in 1902. Over time, they quickly became a top name in the precious metals industry. Later on, they were bought out by BASF, a German chemicals company. While they currently don’t produce any more bullion products, they’re still well-known in the industry through the secondary market and with them being such a name brand. Learn more about Engelhard Silver Bars at BGASC, right here.

What is a Secondary Market bar?

A secondary market silver bar is a product sold to us from a party other than the original source, in this case, Engelhard. Since Engelhard isn’t involved in the bullion industry, you’ll notice that several of their bars at BGASC are secondary market bars.

    Engelhard Minted Ingots

At BGASC, we have several minted ingot options available. Readily available are 1 oz and 10 oz options. These .999 pure silver bars feature the Engelhard logo, metal content, purity, and a unique serial number on the obverse. The reverse of these bars features a repeating pattern of the Engelhard name.

Also available are their Eagle design minted ingots. These secondary market bars, instead of the Engelhard logo on the obverse, feature a powerful eagle that is clutching an olive branch and the American flag in its talons.

    Engelhard Cast and Hand-Poured Bars

There are several unique cast and hand-poured silver bars from the secondary market, also available at BGASC. These include the following options:

    • 100 oz Engelhard Silver Bar (Triangle Design): What makes this bar unique is the letter A, in Engelhard, having a triangle placed below it.
    • 10 oz Engelhard Silver Bar (Reverse Frosted): While the reverse is intentionally left blank, there is a stippled finish that gives this side a unique texture on the surface.
    • 100 oz Engelhard Cast-Poured Silver Bar (Bull Logo): These bars showcase the Engelhard bull logo, which is a rectangular octagon with an additional circle and half-circle, that gives the appearance of a bull’s head.

These bars have a purity of .999 pure silver and arrive in individual plastic bags.
