The Peace Silver Dollar is known as the last 90% silver dollar to be used in everyday circulation in the U.S. Introduced in 1921, it replaced the Morgan Silver Dollar and is the final design of this coin series. The design was created by Anthony de Francisci after winning an artistic competition, and the 1925 edition is now available in certified condition at BGASC.

Reverse

On the reverse of 1925 Peace Silver Dollars, a bald eagle is depicted perched on a rock, holding an olive branch in its talons. With its wings relaxed, the eagle looks toward the horizon, symbolizing peace. Rays of light fill the background, adding to the designs hopeful message.

The Peace Silver Dollar was first struck in 1921, replacing the Morgan Dollar. By 1925, the U.S. Mint had produced over 11.7 million Peace Dollars, with most coming from the Philadelphia Mint, making this a significant year in the series.
