History

The year 1921 marked a special moment in US Mint history as silver dollars returned to production after a 17-year pause. The Morgan Silver Dollar was minted one last time using George T. Morgans original design from 1878. In the same year, Anthony de Franciscis Peace Dollar design was introduced to symbolize the nations new era of peace following World War I. In 2021, the US Mint reissued these iconic designs as modern silver bullion coins to celebrate their centennial.
