The 2025 1 Kilo Australian Silver Lunar Snake Coin is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes in an individual plastic capsule. Perth Mint has set no mintage limit for this coin, so it will be produced until the next design is introduced in the series.

Obverse

The obverse of this 2025 Australian Silver Lunar Snake features the first-generation portrait of King Charles III, designed by Dan Thorne in 2024. This left-profile bust of the king shows him without a crown, marking his debut on Perth Mint Lunar Series coins.

Reverse

On the reverse, the 2025 1 Kilo Silver Lunar Snake Coin displays a coiled snake surrounded by a jungle scene, with branches and leaves above and a river flowing towards mountains in the background.

History

The Year of the Wood Snake, occurring every 60 years, combines the 12-year animal cycle with the 5-element cycle. The last Wood Snake year was 1965, and the next will be 2025. Wood Snake years are considered very fortunate, as the wood element is believed to enhance the snakes natural qualities.
