Obverse
The obverse of 2025 American Gold Eagles showcases Saint-Gaudens celebrated design with Liberty in a front-facing position, walking toward the viewer while holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The design features a ring of 50 stars, sunrays behind Liberty, and the U.S. Capitol Building.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2025 1 oz Gold Eagle Coins is a new depiction of the American bald eagle. This updated design by Jennie Norris, introduced in July 2021, replaces the original 1986 design by Miley Busiek. It presents the bald eagles head in left-profile relief with detailed features.

The obverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagle features Augustus Saint-Gaudens historic design from 1907. Saint-Gaudens was an Irish-American artist commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt to redesign American coins, aiming to reflect the nation’s growing power and status.
