Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagles features the classic 1907 design of Lady Liberty by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. In this design, Liberty is depicted standing in full-length with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Behind her, the background includes sunrays, stars, and the U.S. Capitol Building.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin, youll see the image of an American bald eagle. This design, created by Jennie Norris, shows the eagles head in left-profile relief and was introduced in 2021 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Gold Eagle series.
History
The 1/10 oz Gold Eagle has been produced by the US Mint in three different styles over the years. The 1/10 oz Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) version has been minted every year since its launch in 1986. The Proof version was introduced in 1988 and has been issued annually, with the exception of 2009. The Burnished version was briefly available from 2006 to 2008.
