The American Gold Eagle is the official gold bullion coin of the United States. Since its introduction in 1986, the Gold Eagle has been offered in sizes including 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. Investors have had access to these coins each year. Currently, the 2025 1/4 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are available at BGASC.

Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 American Gold Eagle, you will see Lady Liberty. This image, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, first appeared on the 1907 $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. It shows Liberty standing forward with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2025 1/4 oz Gold Eagle features a new design of the bald eagle by Jennie Norris. This design, introduced in 2021, shows a left-profile view of the bald eagles head and is the first update to the Gold Eagles design in the series’ history.
History
Over its history, the American Gold Eagle series has featured three different versions of the 1/4 oz coin. The most enduring is the 1/4 oz BU Gold Eagle, followed by the 1/4 oz Proof Gold Eagle. The 1/4 oz Burnished Gold Eagle, produced from 2006 to 2008, was available for a shorter period.
