History

The Australian Silver Coin Series debuted in 2007 with a 1 oz coin. By 2008, three additional sizes (1 kilogram, 10 oz, and 1/2 oz) were introduced. In 2016, the 10 oz and 1/2 oz sizes were discontinued, but the 1 oz and 1 kilogram coins continue to be issued annually in various formats such as BU, proof, high-relief, and incuse high-relief.
