1 oz Burnished American Gold Eagle Coin MS/SP70 (Random Year, Varied Label, PCGS or NGC)
Product Description
The American Gold Eagle coin has been a key part of the U.S. bullion coin program since its introduction in 1986. The U.S. government guarantees its gold content, weight, and purity. The Gold Eagles come in four different weights and are offered in bullion, proof, and burnished versions, with burnished coins first issued in 2006. Between 2006 and 2008, burnished versions were available in all four weights, but there were no burnished versions produced in 2009 or 2010. Production resumed in 2011, but only the 1-ounce weight is currently available. These burnished coins are exclusively minted at the West Point Mint and carry the W mint mark. BGASC currently offers 1 oz Burnished American Gold Eagle Coins.

Obverse
The obverse side of the Burnished Gold Eagle showcases Lady Liberty, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in the early 20th century. This design was originally featured on the Double Eagle ($20) coins minted until 1933. Lady Liberty is portrayed walking towards the viewer with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Her hair flows behind her, and a depiction of the Capitol building is shown near the bottom edge of the coin.
Reverse
On the reverse side, the Burnished Gold Eagle features a family of eagles, designed by Miley Busiek and sculpted by Sherl J. Winter. The male eagle is shown in flight, carrying an olive branch and heading towards a nest with an eagle family, symbolizing family values in America. The reverse also includes several inscriptions.
History
The coins available may be from various years. The specific year you receive will depend on availability when your order is processed.
