The Aztec Calendar Stone is featured on the obverse face of the 20 Peso Mexican Gold Coin. This is in honor of Mexicos rich and intricate heritage. There is a large amount of intricate detail which is put into the design. It is depicted as a large bowl with the face of the sun god, Tonatiuh featured at the center of the image. Appearing beneath the stone are the coins denomination, weight, and purity in Spanish.

Reverse

As expected, the national coat of arms of Mexico is featured on the reverse face of the 20 Peso Mexican Gold Coin. The official national emblem features a Mexican gold eagle in a deadly battle with a serpent which it uses its talons to hold off while perching on top of a cactus. This is meant to represent the victory of Mexico over its oppressors. The text inscription here is Estados Unidos Mexicanos.
