2024 South African Silver Krugerrands at BGASC

The South African Gold Krugerrand was the first gold bullion coin available for investors, with a history dating back to 1967. By the 1980s this coin accounted for a 90% share of the global gold bullion market. For the 50th anniversary of its release, in 2017, a silver option was finally made available. The South African Silver Krugerrand features the same design as the gold coin and has proven to be just as popular as the gold release. 2024 Release

The Silver Krugerrand has been issued annually since 2017, and in BU condition since 2018. At BGASC, the 1 oz BU coin is released in individual flips, tubes of 25, or boxes of 500.

These coins contain 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver in BU condition and have a face value of 1 Rand (R1) backed by the South African government.

The obverse of the coin features the left-profile relief portrait of Paul Kruger, while the reverse showcases the Springbok antelope in right-profile relief.
