One of the oldest, and most popular coin programs in all of Europe is the Austrian Gold Philharmonic series. The series has since seen some expansion, including a silver release in 2008. Coins in the silver series have been released annually ever since, making 2024 the 17th consecutive year for these Austrian Silver Philharmonics. 2024 Release

The 2024 release of the Austrian Silver Philharmonic features just one weight available, the 1 oz coin. This coin contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver and is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

Each Silver Philharmonic has a face value of 1.50 (Euro) backed by the Austrian government. Coins are available individually in flips, tubes of 20, or Monster Boxes of 500.

The design has remained the same since the inception of the coin program. The obverse features the Great Pipe Organ at the Musikverein, while the reverse features an array of musical instruments played by the Vienna Philharmonic orchestra. The images on these coins were designed by Thomas Pesendorfer.
